Run for a Good Cause in the Annual Franklin 5K in Chapel Hill

Whether you are an experienced runner, or you just started to meet your weight loss goals this year, take part in the 26th annual Franklin 5K in Chapel Hill to support breast cancer research. This year’s race be bigger than ever before.

The UNC Chapel Hill chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha is responsible for organizing the event. Since its inception, the race has raised at least $60,000 each year, and the numbers keep increasing. Last year more than 1,000 people ran the course through the UNC campus and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Not only do you get to help raise money for a good cause, you also get to participate in all of the race activities. Stick around once you have completed the course so you can watch the awards ceremony. There will be free food and drinks available, and local artists will provide entertainment.

The race is March 28 at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $20 online, for which you receive a race packet and a free t-shirt.
