Harvest Season and Art Festivals in Durham This September

Duke Homestead State Historic SiteFall is one of the best seasons, and it sets the scene for many exciting festivals in Durham. This year, be sure to take a look at these fun and flavorful events that are coming to our area.

The Harvest and Hornworm Festival is happening on September 14, 2013 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. It celebrates the rich tobacco growing history of our region. It provides a chance for you to get your hands dirty and explore the amazing history that has shaped our state.

There is also the 33rd Annual Durham Harvest Festival, which takes place at Durham Community Park on September 15, 2013. The event features plenty of activities for kids, a BBQ, live music, and an antique farm equipment show.

Finally, don’t forget about the two-day CenterFest, starting September 21, 2013. As always, there will be plenty of music, lots of dancing, and plenty of artists on-hand. It’s always a lot of fun, and it’s a terrific place to see eclectic North Carolina on display.

When you have some time in your busy schedule, get on Facebook and share the details of your favorite festivals in Durham with your neighbors at Chapel Hill North.
