Remember how much fun you had making mud pies when you were little? Well, this time you can play in the mud without worrying about your mom yelling at you. In fact, she may even join you at the Dirty Girl Mud Run.
This event is far more than a fundraiser; it is a celebration of life. Women around the country will be coming together in teams to get down and dirty in this unique obstacle course to run, laugh, and conquer cancer. Proceeds from the event will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Everyone’s a winner in this 5K untimed obstacle course. Women dressed in funny clothes will slip and slide through muddy challenges designed to push them physically, but when an obstacle is beyond a runner’s comfort level, she can take a detour around it.
The Raleigh Dirty Girl Mud Run will take place on March 23, 2013 at MacNair Country Acres Farms (located at 2721 Dover Farm Road). You can register online for this muddy madness designed by an ex-Army Ranger. Run, walk, or crawl to the finish line and a shower, then re-group for a fantastic after-party!
